ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of Afghan men protested in the eastern city of Khost on Tuesday to express anger at the burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden over the weekend.
Rasmus Paludan, the Swedish-Danish far-right politician, on Saturday, burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.
The incident infuriated Muslims across the world and protests have been recorded in some Muslim countries.
In Khost, the protesters chanted death to such politicians, death to the Swedish government.

Many protestors were holding copies of Holy Quran, burning the Swedish flags, and chanting against Paludan.
Qadeer Lakanawal, one of the organizers of the protest, told AFP that the people of Khost condemned the burning of Holy Quran in Sweden and called on Muslim countries to protest against this filthy and evil politician.
Another organizer Ibrahim Sayar said that such acts should not be repeated and that creating hatred in the hearts of Muslims against other religions should be avoided.
An angry protester who was speaking on a loudspeaker was heard calling for the arrest of the killing of Paludan.
