Hundreds Evacuated in Central China After Rainstorms Warning

ISTANBUL: Hundreds of people were evacuated in central China as authorities issued a yellow alert against rainstorms.

China’s National Meteorological Center issued the alert after heavy rains hit eastern and central regions.

Chinese state media reported that over 3,800 people have been evacuated in the central provinces of Hunan and Hubei.

Meanwhile, the Philippines is also set to face another tropical cyclone, which may hit the country this week.

Typhoon Goring, known as Saola on the international level, moved north over the Philippine Sea.

Rainstorm in Taiwan

In Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau said that Typhoon Saola weakened from a super typhoon to a typhoon, and the eye is likely to miss Taiwan as it swirls through the Bashi Channel.
