DUBAI: Huda Kattan, an American entrepreneur known for her Huda Beauty cosmetics brand, has announced that her company will donate $1 million for relief efforts in Gaza, Western media reported Wednesday.
In a post at social media she highlighted the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza and the deteriorating circumstances.
She stressed the need of standing in solidarity with the Palestinians and using her position to bring attention to injustices.
The entrepreneur announced that her companies, including Huda Beauty, Kayali, and WISHFUL, would donate to Gaza-based humanitarian groups.

She added that because of the current siege and humanitarian challenges, it has been very difficult to find ways to help the people Gaza. Huda Kattan said that her company is committed to finding a way to reach people there.
She praised the people who have purchased her products, stating that their support has allowed her to make this donation.

Huda Kattan, is a resident of Dubai of Iraqi-American descent. She has consistently been a prominent supporter of the Palestinian cause and has gained much global praise as a result.
Earlier she stated that she does not want blood money when an Israeli commenter threatened to boycott her products.
