ISLAMABAD: The Human Rights Commission (HRCP) on Wednesday organized a launching ceremony of the book “GM Syed and Dastan-e-Muhabbat”, written by a renowned writer and researcher Khadim Hussain Soomro.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Farhatullah Babar said in his address on the occasion, that the book is a very important piece to read. He said that GM Syed was not only a politician but also a great intellectual, social scientist, philosopher, prolific writer and a mystical soul.
He expressed his disappointment over the fact that in Pakistan, the intellectual giants from the smaller provinces were being demonized.
Babar said that GM Syed contributed a lot to Sindhi literature and language as he also established Sindhi Adabi Board, a great reminder of his services.
HRCP Book’s content, quality hailed
HRCP Secretary General Harris Khalique said that GM Syed infused the Sindhis to have pride in their culture, values and civilization. Khadim Soomro nicely translated the work of GM Syed into Urdu. The quality, content and volume of the book is very nice.
Writer Manzoor Ali Veesrio said that the book was a detailed description of the GM Syed’s life, his love for humanity and Pakistan.
GM Sayed gave message of love and integration
On the occasion, the author Khadim Hussain Soomro said that the GM Syed gave the message of integration and love to the world. He spread his message through his high-standard speeches and books.
He said that if the sub-continent’s politicians understood the teachings of GM Syed, tens of thousands of people would not have been killed and their economic massacre would not have occurred. – APP
