ISLAMABAD: The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will unfold across eight stadiums between February 7 and March 8. Below is the complete schedule across all venues.
The initial phase divides the twenty teams into four groups of five.
Each team will play every other in its group in a round-robin format between February 7 and 20.
The top two finishers from each group will progress to the Super Eights stage.
Groups are as follows
Group A: India, Pakistan, Namibia, Netherlands, USA
Group B: Sri Lanka, Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Oman
Group C: England, West Indies, Scotland, Nepal, Italy
Group D: South Africa, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Canada, UAE
Understanding Super Eights and knockout structure
The Super Eights stage will take place from February 22 to March 1. Teams are pre-assigned to two groups:
Group 1 (X): Features seeds X1 (India), X2 (Australia), X3 (West Indies), and X4 (South Africa). All matches will be hosted in India.
Group 2 (Y): Features seeds Y1 (England), Y2 (Sri Lanka), Y3 (Pakistan), and Y4 (New Zealand). All matches will be hosted in Sri Lanka.
If a pre-seeded team fails to qualify from the group stage, the team that replaces them will inherit their seed and position.
The semi-finals are scheduled for March 4 and 5, with the final on March 8.
A notable contingency plan is in place: if Pakistan’s team advances to the semi-finals or final, those specific matches will be relocated to the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
