ISLAMABAD: A predominantly hot and humid weather pattern is expected to prevail across most parts of the country during the next 12 hours.
However, there is a glimmer of hope for respite as rain-thundershower is anticipated in areas including Kashmir, the Potohar region, north and northeast Punjab, and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The temperature readings in some major cities this morning were as follows: Islamabad registered twenty-five degrees Celsius, Lahore twenty-six degrees, Karachi thirty degrees, Peshawar twenty-eight degrees, Quetta twenty-three degrees, Gilgit seventeen degrees, Murree seventeen degrees, and Muzaffarabad recorded twenty-three degrees Celsius.
As far as the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, the Met Office predicted partly cloudy conditions with chances of rain, wind, and thundershowers in Jammu, Leh, Shopian, and Baramula. In contrast, Srinagar, Pulwama, and Anantnag are likely to experience cloudy weather with potential rainfall and thundershowers.
Temperature readings in the aforementioned regions Thursday morning were as follows: Anantnag and Shopian seventeen degrees Celsius, Srinagar nineteen degrees, Jammu twenty-seven degrees, Leh twelve degrees, Pulwama eighteen degrees, and Baramulla eighteen degrees Celsius.
As the country grapples with scorching heat, these intermittent spells of rainfall offer a glimmer of hope for relief from the sweltering conditions.
