ISLAMABAD: Over the next twelve hours, residents of the plains in the country can brace themselves for hot and humid weather conditions. However, a shift is expected in certain areas, with the possibility of rain, wind, and thundershowers in isolated pockets of Upper and Central Punjab, the Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.

During this period, heavy precipitation could occur in specific locations, including upper Punjab, the Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. It’s important to be prepared for potential intense rainfall in these regions.

The morning temperatures of key cities today were as follows:

  • Islamabad: 23 degrees Celsius
  • Lahore and Karachi: 28 degrees Celsius
  • Peshawar: 26 degrees Celsius
  • Quetta: 22 degrees Celsius
  • Gilgit: 18 degrees Celsius
  • Murree: 16 degrees Celsius
  • Muzaffarabad: 22 degrees Celsius

Turning our attention to the weather forecast for the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by the Met Office, we can expect partly cloudy conditions with the chance of rain, wind, and thundershowers in cities like Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, Jammu, and Leh.

The morning temperatures registered in these locations today are as follows:

  • Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Shopian: 20 degrees Celsius
  • Jammu: 25 degrees Celsius
  • Leh: 13 degrees Celsius
  • Baramula: 21 degrees Celsius

It’s clear that the weather is about to undergo some notable changes across various regions. While the plains are expected to experience hot and humid conditions, some areas will see the relief of rain, wind, and thundershowers, with the potential for heavier rainfall in specific pockets. Staying informed about these weather fluctuations is crucial for making appropriate preparations and adjustments to daily routines.
