Hot, Humid Weather Likely in Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The next twelve hours are expected to bring hot and humid weather to most parts of the country.

However, some relief is anticipated in the form of rain, wind, and thundershowers in scattered places across South Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the adjoining hill areas. Moreover, heavy falls may occur during this forecast period, which could potentially provide some respite from the scorching heat.

On Monday morning, the mercury in Islamabad stood at twenty-six degrees centigrade, while Lahore and Karachi are experiencing slightly higher temperatures of twenty-eight and twenty-nine degrees centigrade, respectively. Meanwhile, Peshawar is at twenty-seven degrees, Quetta at twenty-three, Gilgit at nineteen, Murree at seventeen, and Muzaffarabad at twenty-one degrees centigrade.

Moving on to the weather forecast for the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, it is expected to be partly cloudy with a few chances of rain, wind, and thundershowers during the evening and night in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. This forecast brings some hope for the residents of the region who may have been enduring hot and uncomfortable conditions.

The morning temperatures in various areas of Indian Illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir are as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula are at eighteen degrees centigrade, Jammu at twenty-five, Leh at eleven, and Anantnag and Shopian at seventeen degrees centigrade.
