ISLAMABAD: In the next twelve hours, most parts of the country are expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions. However, relief from the scorching heat is anticipated in some regions with the possibility of rain accompanied by winds and thundershowers. The affected areas include northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and adjoining regions.

Let’s take a look at the temperatures recorded in some major cities earlier Tuesday morning:

  • Islamabad: 25 degrees Celsius
  • Lahore: 29 degrees Celsius
  • Karachi: 28 degrees Celsius
  • Peshawar: 27 degrees Celsius
  • Quetta: 21 degrees Celsius
  • Gilgit and Muzaffarabad: 22 degrees Celsius
  • Murree: 17 degrees Celsius

As per the weather forecast issued by the Met Office for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the region is likely to experience partly cloudy conditions with a chance of rain, winds, and thundershowers during the evening and night hours. The areas expected to be affected include Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula.

Earlier this morning, the recorded temperatures in the region were as follows:

  • Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula: 18 degrees Celsius
  • Jammu: 25 degrees Celsius
  • Leh: 11 degrees Celsius
  • Anantnag and Shopian: 17 degrees Celsius
