ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, who was demitted to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology & National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC) Rawalpindi on Friday, has said that he will be back home in a day or two after a minor medical procedure.

In an audio message to his well-wishers posted on his Twitter handle, Rana Sanaullah said that around 20 years back, he had had his heart surgery and he has to undergo checkups and minor procedures after every three years.

He said that he was recovering after undergoing minor health checkups and procedures.

“To all those well-wishers who are concerned about my health after viewing my picture on a hospital bed, I am absolutely fine and recovering fast,” the interior minister said in hie audio message.

“I had heart surgery almost 20 years ago in 2004. For patients like me, some minor procedures and a general checkup are essential every two to three years,” he said asking his fans and well-wishers not to visit the AFIC and visit his home once he was discharged from the hospital, which has restrictions for visitors.

Rana Sanaullah also praised the AFIC doctors, saying his physicians conducted his checkup in a state-of-the-art manner and also performed a minor procedure that they deemed necessary.

“All my friends are welcome to see me when I am back home on Sunday,” he said.
