Hina Rabbani Khar Highlights Significance of Pak-Kuwait Historic Ties

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday hailed the historical bilateral ties between Pakistan and the State of Kuwait, that remained intact for over the last six decades.

The state minister Khar said this during a joint event organized by the Embassy of Kuwait and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of fraternal diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Khar underscored the deep-seated nature of friendly ties between the two countries, characterized by common aspirations, fraternal ties, commitments and values, and bright prospects for future liaison.

Pak- Kuwait Historic Bilateral Ties

Kuwait Ambassador Nassar Abdulrahman Jasser Almutairi also elaborated the history of brotherly relations between the two states and its people, spanning for more than sixty years.

A commemorative logo of the 60th Anniversary was also unveiled on occasion. Meanwhile, the minister inaugurated a photo exhibition depicting different aspects of the mutual ties between the two states as well as high-level connections.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, government and UN officials, the business community, media, academia and civil society participated in the event.

Kuwait hosts a remarkable Pakistani diaspora playing a key role in both countries’ prosperity and development.

The joint gathering marked the beginning of year-long celebrations that would be organized both in Pakistan and Kuwait with a view to transforming the fraternal relations into more concrete and mutually rewarding economic ties.
