RAWALPINDI: Four terrorists, including a ‘High-Value Target’ (HVT), were killed during Pakistan’s security forces’ two separate operations on Saturday in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the country, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
According to ISPR, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district. During the conduct of the operation, after an intense exchange of fire, a ‘High-Value Target’ (HVT) terrorist Commander identified as Tabassum, alias Qadarman, along with terrorist Sajid alias Sarkandi, were killed by the security forces, ISPR said.
In another joint operation conducted by the security forces and Police in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, two more terrorists were killed.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in several terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion and target killings of innocent civilians, and were highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies, ISPR said.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. Locals of the area appreciated the security forces’ operations and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
