DAMASCUS: A high-level Saudi delegation has arrived in Syria to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between the two Arab nations.

Led by Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih the delegation would advance partnerships into the practical implementation phase of joint projects, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

The visit is part of a broader framework aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Syria, enhancing the private sector’s role in development, and laying the foundation for sustainable economic integration.

Several strategic contracts are expected to be signed during the visit between leading Saudi companies and Syrian government entities, covering sectors such as aviation, telecommunications, infrastructure, and development.

Al-Falih and his delegation are scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with Syrian officials to explore investment opportunities and create an enabling environment for quality investments.

The visit represents a significant milestone in the Saudi-Syrian economic partnership, building on agreements and forums held over the past year to activate joint work mechanisms in key sectors.

These efforts highlight a strategic alliance focused on expanding investment opportunities and deepening economic integration in the next phase of cooperation.
