ISLAMABAD: Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan Jemal Beker said on Friday that a high-level official and business delegations would visit Pakistan on May 9 to further advance bilateral and multilateral cooperation in different fields to strengthen bilateral relations.

Addressing a news conference here, the ambassador said a 60-member delegation would visit Pakistan. He added that the delegation would represent multiple economic sectors of Ethiopia as well. He said that people from different sectors, including agriculture, pharmaceutical, textile, surgical equipment, sports, tourism, mining, and ICT, would be part of the high-level delegation.
The envoy said the official delegation would ink Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with their counterparts in Pakistan in tourism, technology, and other fields. He said that the trade agreements would also be signed between the business communities of both two sides to boost the trade volume.
Jemal Beker said that two business forums were being organized in Islamabad and Karachi to bolster bilateral trade by strengthening trade ties between the two sides.
On the occasion, the envoy also congratulated the people of Ethiopia on “Patriots’ Victory Day,” which was being observed today to honor the veterans of the resistance movement against imperialism.
