BEIRUT: Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah said on Friday that Lebanon is “proud” of those who have died while attacking Israel from the border in response to continued Israeli barbarism and brutalities against innocent Palestinians.
Addressing a crowd in Beirut, the Hezbollah chief said that they are entitled to feel proud of their resistance efforts and sacrifices. “We must remain firm with certainty that they are rewarded in paradise. Those fallen martyrs are alive in God’s paradise,” Nasrallah said.
Nasrallah began his speech by offering his thoughts to Hezbollah fighters killed along the border with Israel. He said that my brothers and sisters, peace be upon you all. “I welcome this huge crowd of people to celebrate the lives of our martyrs,” he expressed.
Hezbollah’s Chief Thanked Protesters
Hezbollah’s chief thanked those who demonstrated in support of Palestine around the world.
He said that we must salute all those who protested in support and solidarity with the Palestinians from all over the world.
Hassan Nasrallah declared the October 7 massacre a “glorious jihadi operation”. He also denied any involvement of Hezbollah in the Hamas attack.
He said that this glorious, blessed, large-scale operation is 100% Palestinian in terms of decision and execution. The Palestinians had kept it secret.
Hassan Nasrallah said that the West is trying to drive a wedge between Palestinian allies and that secrecy was a requirement for the success of the operation. He said that there must be a big event to shake Israel and its supporters in the West.
Nasrallah added that no one in the entire world is moving a finger to help Palestine, he said, naming the United Nations (UN) and European Union.
Since the October 7, there have been escalating tit-for-tat exchanges, mainly between Israel and Hezbollah, an ally of the Palestinian group Hamas.
