ISLAMABAD: Education Testing Council (ETC) of Higher Education Commission (HEC) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Election Commission Gilgit-Baltistan, to conduct screening tests for recruitment in the provincial election commission’s departments.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman HEC and Raja Shehbaz Khan, Chief Election Commissioner (GB), along with other officials of both organizations attended the signing ceremony.
HEC chairman for merit
On the occasion, HEC chairman stressed that the Higher Education Commission stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the EC of GB in providing all kinds of assistance for ensuring transparency and merit at all levels and for all departments.
The chief election commissioner Raja Shehbaz Khan thanked him for extending support.
The agreement is aimed at bringing a standard testing procedure for recruitment in the election commission and enabling enforcement of merit and transparency.
