ABBOTTABAD: On the third consecutive day (Friday) heavy snowfall continues in the upper parts of the Hazara division and paralysis life in Galyat, Thandyani, Kaghan and Naran and the surrounding areas where mountains and the downtown areas can be seen as laded in white blanket.
During the last three days Galyat, Thandyani, Kaghan and Shogran valley have received up to two feet of snow while Naran received over three feet of snow.
The main Murree Road leading from Dongagali to Natyagali was still blocked at several places due to heavy snowfall while Naran road was also facing the same situation of blockade.
Meanwhile Galyat Development Authority (GDA) and Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) workers along with C&W staff were busy clearing the roads but continuous heavy snowfall was creating hurdles in cleaning the roads.
Due to continues snowfall for three consecutive days electricity supply in some areas of district Abbottabad and Mansehra was still suspended.

Like Hazara Division northern parts of Khyber Pakhunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) also received heavy snowfall, including Chitral, Upper Dir, and areas of GB. Some parts of Baluchistan and areas in erstwhile FATA also received snowfall and rain during last three days. The ongoing snowfall is the first major fall of this winter.
