Met Department Warns of Heavy Rain in Malaysia
The meteorological department has issued warnings of continued heavy rain, attributing the flooding to the north-east monsoon, a seasonal weather pattern lasting from October to March.
Alongside heavy rainfall, strong winds and rough seas are expected in the northern states and the country’s east coast.
The social welfare department, along with local authorities, is actively engaged in managing the flood relief efforts, providing shelter and assistance to those affected.
