ISLAMABAD: Windstorm with rain-thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas during the next 24 hours according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). In most areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, the Potohar region, and northeastern Punjab, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms with heavy rain in several places. In Gilgit-Baltistan, central/southern Punjab, southeastern/lower Sindh, and northeastern Balochistan, thunderstorms accompanied by rain are expected in some areas.
Morning temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows:
- Islamabad: 27°C
- Lahore: 31°C
- Karachi: 34°C
- Peshawar: 32°C
- Quetta: 27°C
- Gilgit: 25°C
In the past 24 hours, the weather in most parts of the country remained hot and humid. However, rain with thunderstorms occurred in some areas of southeastern/lower Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
