MUZAFFARGARH: In a heart-wrenching and sad incident, the curse of PUBG devastated another family, where the brother slaughtered his three minor sisters under the influence of this notorious game.

According to the local police, the murderer admitted to having played the infamous online game PUBG before committing the crime. The boy was hooked on the well-known online game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) and handed over the murder weapon to the authorities.

The boy said in his initial statement to police that he was addicted to playing the game, which provoked him to commit the crime.

While revealing the motive for the murder, he said that his parents loved his slain sisters more, which caused him an inferiority complex that led him to take the sisters’ lives.

Within 12 hours after the crime, according to DPO Syed Hasnain Raza, the police used advanced technology to apprehend the murderer. He claimed that throughout the inquiry, they discovered a bloodstain on the murderer’s palm, leading them to include him in the investigation and eventually leading to his confession. According to authorities, the accused killed the kids one by one with sharp-edged knives at a neighboring empty building the family was using.

The three daughters included 11-year-old Arisha, Zahra, 8, and Fatima, 7. These were daughters of Ejaz, the Security Sergeant of Thermal Power Station, who lived on Muzaffargarh-Mehmood Kot Road in the limits of the City Police Station.

Police recovered the cut-throat bodies from a nearby quarter. The tragic and heart-breaking incident left the entire city in mourning and fear. —APP
