Health Minister Reviews Facilities in Community Health Center in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Health Dr. Nadeem Jan visited the Community Health Centre at Shah Allah Ditta on Wednesday, where he reviewed the facilities.

During the visit, the minister also inquired about the treatment of the patients in the center.

Dr. Nadeem Jan said the health ministry has devised a comprehensive strategy for strengthening the primary health system. He said that the health sector cannot be strengthened without strengthening the primary healthcare system.

The minister said that improving the primary health care system will reduce the burden of patients on big hospitals. He said that the health ministry is working to boost the mechanism of the referral system in hospitals.

Dr. Nadeem Jan said that he is personally monitoring the primary health care center facilities. He said all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the facilities of the Primary Health Care Center.

Universal Health Coverage Government’s Top Priority

He said that universal health coverage is the priority agenda of the government.

Dr. Nadeem Jan said that the upgradation of five hundred basic health centers is a revolutionary historical project. The work on the project is underway with full zeal.

He added that the government is ensuring the provision of quality service in hospitals.
