PESHAWAR: The health department has finalized its health contingency plan for managing any emergency situations during the upcoming elections.
As part of the plan, a control room staffed with doctors and paramedics will be established.
On February 8, a team of 10 doctors will be on duty in the control room, followed by five doctors on February 9.
Emergency protocols will be activated in all public sector hospitals across districts during the general election days.
District health officers have been instructed to liaise with the relevant authorities for seamless coordination.
Additionally, the health department will collaborate with Rescue 1122 to address any emergencies as per the plan. —APP
