ALGERIA: The President of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abd al-Rahman al-Asoumi, on Tuesday met with the President of the Pan-African Parliament, Chief Fortune Charumbira, in Algeria.
The Arab and African leaders met on the sidelines of the Conference of the Union of Councils of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Algeria, the Arab Parliament said in a statement.
Support for Arab and African issues
The two sides reviewed matters of regional and international interests. They agreed on complete coordination in international forums in support of all African and Arab issues.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament affirmed that the African and Arab regions possess many common denominators that contribute to supporting African and Arab matters, particularly the Palestinian issue and the Libyan crisis.
