ISLAMABAD: The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X is all set to introduce full-scale integration of Match Officials’ Technology (MOT), brought to game by Hawk-Eye Innovations, for this landmark season.
While previous editions have dabbled in elements of MOT, this year represents a monumental leap forward, aligning the HBL PSL with the pinnacle of global standards in officiating, transparency, and fan engagement.
This thrilling six-team tournament will unfold across four cities—Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi—from April 11 to May 18.
Tech-driven officiating ecosystem
Every match in this edition will benefit from an advanced tech-driven officiating ecosystem, featuring auto no-ball detection, live communication for umpires, DRS, innings timers, match logging, and real-time multi-angle replays. A dedicated Hawk-Eye technician will be on-site at each match to assist umpires and enhance operational efficiency.
Fans will enjoy a closer connection to the game with live displays of DRS and innings timers on the big screen and in broadcast graphics. In an exciting first, real-time over-rate calculations will be made available ball-by-ball for both fans and teams. Umpires will utilise handheld tablets for immediate logging of over-rate data and instant DRS calls.
With these cutting-edge innovations, broadcasters will be equipped to deliver richer and more engaging narratives during this historic edition of the HBL PSL.

By introducing this, we will uphold fairness in every decision, providing greater clarity for officials, players and fans alike.”
