MILWAUKEE: President Joe Biden faced with criticism on Hawaii wildfires has said he will be there ‘as soon as he can’.
Biden assured the same while speaking in Milwaukee adding he wanted people to have everything they need.
According to details, there have been over 100 fire-related deaths and approximately 1300 people are reported missing.
People in Hawaii have shown reservations and are dissatisfied with the steps taken by the government.
The President was asked over the weekend in Delaware about the rising death toll in Hawaii and he responded with ‘No Comment’.
However, on Tuesday, President Biden explained that he has not visited Hawaii reason being the diversion of resources and attention that is responding to ongoing emergencies. President’s wife Jill will accompany him to Hawaii.
The US president stated that he has been on many disaster sites but he wanted to make there is no disruption in the ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
According to details, there have been over 500 emergency response officers sent to Hawaii and will be assisting the ongoing relief operation. There are 150 search and rescue specialists included in the dispatch unit who will assist in finding the missing 1300.
Mr Biden stated that all available resources in the region will be used for the rescue operation and we will stand with Maui as long as it takes.
