RAWALPINDI: A group of 38 students from Harvard University, United States, hailing from nine different countries called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at GHQ on Friday as part of their visit to Pakistan.
During interactive session, army chief talked about regional security matters and Pakistan military’s contributions to promote peace and stability in the region.
COAS underscored the rich potential of Pakistan and urged the students group to perceive Pakistan based on their experiences during their stay in the country.
He said that Pakistan is acting as bulwark against terrorism and global community must realize the immense sacrifices it has offered.
COAS highlights Kashmir issue
Army chief also underlined the human suffering and atrocities being committed in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIJOK) and efforts to change the demographic realities in the valley.
Students lauded the COAS for providing the opportunity for a constructive interaction.
