ISLAMABAD/LONDON: Following a popularity drop, Prince Harry and Meghan Makrkle have been warned about “profiting off their status” as senior royals.
According to Express.co.uk, talking about the estrange royal couple and Prince Harry’s book “Spare”, Forbes writer Carlie Porterfield said, the couple’s popularity in the UK has fallen since many of these projects have come out, especially Spare.”
Porterfield said on the YouTube channel, “I think people were a little more sensitive in the United Kingdom to how members of the royal family, even if they are not working like Meghan and Harry, no longer are profiting off of their status.”
The experts said, “What some people say: ‘Selling their family members out to make the buck’. This is some criticism that has been levelled at them as well.”
Harry and Meghan Warned
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have openly criticized the British royal family in their Netflix documentary Spare this year.
Before their documentary and a book, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex avoided naming royal members while talking about their lives.
But the latest attacks have seen Prince Harry detailing what happened between him and his elder brother Prince William and his father, King Charles, after his marriage to Meghan Markle.
