LAHORE: Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf has attended career-best position in the ICC latest Men’s ODI Player Rankings for the bowler., after his outstanding performance against Afghanistan in the first match of a three-game series held in Sri Lanka.
Rauf’s match haul of 5 for 18 runs in Hambantota helped him shoot up to 36 positions. This achievement has propelled him seven places higher and surpassed his previous best position of 42nd, which he attained in May of this year. This information was shared on Wednesday by the ICC.
Afghanistan’s spinner Mujeeb Ur Rehman, who had previously held a career-best ranking of second, has now moved up three places to secure the third position after his impressive display with figures of three wickets for 33 runs.
Imam-ul-Haq Also Improves ICC Ranking
Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq, who scored 61 runs in the match, has gained one position to reach the third position in the batting rankings. Additionally, Mohammad Rizwan has climbed three positions to secure the 58th position.
In the latest T20I rankings update, which considers performances from the United Arab Emirates versus New Zealand series and the first two matches of the series between Ireland and India, New Zealand batter Mark Chapman has surged eight positions to reach the 24th position with a total aggregate of 129 runs.
Vriitya Anand from the UAE has moved up five places to secure the 56th position among batters, while left-arm spinner Aayan Afzal Khan has climbed an impressive 62 places to reach the 116th position in the bowling rankings.
Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi have made gains after securing two wickets each in two matches. Bumrah has moved up from the 91st to the 84th position, while Bishnoi has progressed from the 82nd to the 65th position.
Ireland batter Andrew Balbirnie has moved up four places to secure the 61st position after scoring 72 runs in the second match against India. Furthermore, Curtis Campher has climbed 10 places to secure the 70th position.
