CAIRO: The armed wing of Palestinian faction Hamas has said that over 60 hostages were missing due to of Israeli attacks on Gaza. Arab News citied Reuter as reported that earlier Hamas said about 50 hostages held by the group were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
Hamas Says Over 60 Hostages Are Missing Due to Israeli Attacks
A spokesperson for group said in its social media account that 23 bodies of the 60 missing Israel captives were trapped under the debris. The spokesman stated that “It seems that we will never be in position to reach them because of the continued cruel aggression of the occupation against Gaza,”.

Reuters stated that it could not immediately verify the statement of Hamas and the Israel also refused to comment over the news. The US has also been flying drones over the Gaza Strip in search of hostages taken by Hamas when on Oct. 7, two US officials stated on Thursday. Hamas that rules Gaza, has so far freed four hostages among the 239 believed to be held.
