Hamas Says Around ‘50’ Israeli Hostages killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA STRIP: Hamas’s military wing said Thursday that about “50” Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip have been killed in brutal Israeli raids on Gaza, Arab News reported.

Arab News citied AFP as reporting, “(Ezzedine) Al-Qassam Brigades estimates that the number of Zionist prisoners who were killed in Gaza as a result of Zionist airstrikes and massacres has reached about 50,” Hamas said in a statement issued on its social media account.

AFP reported that it was not immediately able to verify the news. Earlier, the Israeli army claimed 224 people were taken by Hamas during its operation in Israel. As per media reports, four women have been freed by Hamas.

In a statement, Palestine’s UN envoy stated that more than 3,000 children have been martyred by Israel since the strikes it launched on October 7 on Gaza.  He said that 3,000 innocent children were martyred in Gaza during the last 3 weeks.  The Ambassador said about 7,000 Palestinians have been martyred by Israeli brutal attacks in Gaza, adding that completely 70 percent of all those martyred are children and women. He termed it crimes and barbarism. He further said that about 1,600 Palestinians still lie under the debris, killed or wounded and no one can reach these people to bury them or save them.
