GAZA CITY: The Palestinian group Hamas said on Tuesday that it had seized an Israeli drone in Gaza.
This was announced in a short statement issued by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, which is the armed wing of the organization.
It said that the Qassam Brigades seized a K One Orbiter drone on Monday while it was on a hostile espionage mission in eastern Gaza’s airspace, Anadolu Agency reported on Tuesday.
Israeli Reports Drone Crash
On Monday, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority (IBA) said a drone of the domestic intelligence service, Shin Bet, crashed in Gaza during operational activity.
Israeli media reported that the drone crashed in the Al-Zaytoun area, east of Gaza City, due to a technical fault and not for a hostile reason.
