GAZA: The Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Sunday said that Israel will not be able to recover any of its captives unless it starts talks over conditional swap deals.
Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the al-Qassam Brigades, in an audio speech broadcast by Al Jazeera said that Israel will not be able to recover the captives by force. He added Israel has failed to free any one of its captives by force.
He also stated that Hamas fighters had partially or fully destroyed 180 Israeli personnel, tanks and bulldozers in 10 days since fighting in Gaza resumed.
During a seven-day ceasefire that expired on December 1, Hamas released 105 captives, including 80 in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners.
