ARAFAT, Saudi Arabia: Imam of Masjid al-Haram and a member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid in his Hajj 2025 sermon prayed for the people of Palestine and called for the destruction of their enemies.

Around 1.5 million pilgrims from around the world performed Waqoof-e-Arafah, the Rukn-e-Azam of Hajj, at Mount Arafat on Thursday.

The Day of Arafat is the most sacred day of the Islamic calendar year when Almighty Allah draws near to the faithful and forgives their sins.

Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah in his Hajj 2025 sermon from Masjid al-Namirah on Thursday said: “O Allah, help the people of Palestine and destroy its enemies .”

“O Allah, forgive the martyrs and grant healing to the wounded,” Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah supplicated, drawing attention to the suffering caused by ongoing violence.

Addressing millions of Hajj pilgrims gathered at Mount Arafat on the Day of Arafah, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah urged Muslims to continue praying and giving zakat to support the needy.

Imam-e-Kabba emphasized the importance of neighbourly care, compassion for orphans, widows, and the underprivileged, and kindness toward parents.

Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah said Allah commands believers to cooperate in righteousness and to adopt piety. He called upon Muslims to treat their parents with kindness and always speak the truth.

It was reminded that Allah does not like those who are arrogant.

“Believers were also instructed to remain faithful to their promises and commitments, with a warning that the devil seeks to create divisions among them.”

Ibless is your enemy, avoid following him and keep praying to Allah, Dr. Sheikh Saleh said in his Hajj sermon.

Millions of Hujjaj were present at Mount Arafat to listen to the Hajj sermon.

The Hajj sermon reinforced Quranic teachings on righteousness, honesty, and cooperation, cautioning against arrogance and reminding believers to fulfil their promises.

The Arafat sermon, also known as the Hajj Khutba, is one of the most spiritually significant events in the Islamic calendar.

Delivered on the Day of Arafah, this sermon reaches millions of Muslims around the world—whether they’re physically in Arafat or watching from afar. It serves as a moment of unity, reflection, and renewed faith.

Hajj, one of Islam’s five pillars, draws millions of Muslims each year on a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual journey.
