Gunmen Throw Hand Grenades at Petroleum Station in Sargodha to Create Chaos

SARGODHA:  Unidentified armed men opened fire on Naeem Jaspal petroleum pump at Salam near Bhera interchange within the limits of Phularwan Police Station in the Sargodha district of Punjab, Pakistan,  according to a copy of the first information report (FIR).

According to the FIR, the firing incident took place early morning of Monday when four unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate firing on the petrol station. The manager of the petroleum station told the police that the armed men could not enter the premises due to timely action of the security guard, who warned and took the position. He said that the unknown men threw hand grenades and fire crackers to create panic and terror in the area after armed men failed to enter at Naeem Jaspal petroleum pump.

The manager said that the hand grenades and fire crackers could not explode fortunately, which saved the entire area from a major disaster due to the presence of 20,000-liter fuel at the petrol station.  The Police report said that the suspects created chaos in the area and managed to flee from the scene. Police registered the FIR under 7-ATA and other sections on the plea of the manager of the petroleum pump. Police said that an investigation is underway to arrest the accused.
