MINA: The Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia saw a significant influx of Hajj pilgrims coming to perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah following the stoning of Jamrat Al-Aqaba in Mina.
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, in close collaboration with relevant authorities, has effectively overseen crowd movement within the Mataf (the area designated for circumambulation), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
Alongside crowd management, a wide range of enhanced services has been implemented to ensure the safety and comfort of Hajj pilgrims. These include thorough cleaning and sterilization measures, multilingual guidance and counseling, and round-the-clock emergency and ambulance services.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has showcased its world-class water management system, ensuring uninterrupted access to clean water for Hajj pilgrims across all holy sites. Over 1.5 million pilgrims performed Waqoof-e-Arafah on Thursday during Hajj 2025.
The Kingdom’s operational plan, overseen by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, guarantees water supply and sanitation services to support the health, safety, and comfort of pilgrims during the peak days of Hajj, one of the world’s largest religious events.
