Govt’s Pro-Business Policies Foster Confidence Among Investors: Pakistan’s PM

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that the government’s business-friendly policies were yielding positive results.

During a meeting with a delegation of international beverage companies, the premier emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting foreign investors and the business community to create job opportunities, enhance exports, and contribute to national economic growth.

The delegation commended the prime minister for his regime’s pro-business policies. They highlighted that 25 plants of international beverage companies were operational in Pakistan, providing employment to approximately 130,000 people.

Moreover, they informed the prime minister about their significant contribution to the national exchequer through substantial tax payments and their extensive recycling initiatives.

Prime Minister Shehbaz encouraged the companies to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations and instructed relevant authorities to promptly address any issues raised by the delegation.

The delegation, led by Volkan Onguc, Vice President of Coca-Cola for Pakistan and Afghanistan, and Muhammad Khosa, CEO of PepsiCo Pakistan and Afghanistan, was accompanied by federal ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Abdul Aleem Khan, and senior government officials.
