ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Finance and Revenue, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha said on Thursday that the government wants an early revival of the program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) but in a manner that does not increase the common man’s burden.
She added that it was the government’s utmost priority to minimize the burden on the common man, but the international lender was demanding otherwise. However, she added that the government was trying to negotiate with the IMF on something that would place more load on the wealthy class and minimize the burden on the lower classes.
