Govt. Takes Strict Actions Against Vehicles with Fake Number-plates

LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has launched a massive crackdown on vehicles with fake number-plates across the province, authority’s spokesperson said on Tuesday. In a press release, the authority said that the officials with the help of cameras of safe cities identified around 1556 vehicles with fake number-plates. It added that cases were registered against these vehicles and sent for further legal actions.

The spokesperson said that legal action has also been taken against the motor bikes and other vehicles across the province. The spokesperson maintained that Safe Cities Authority with the support of field forces are taking strict actions against the vehicles with fake number-plates.  He said that auto-rickshaws with a fake number-plate were also caught, with the help of Safe City cameras.

The spokesperson asked the citizens to call on 15 immediately if they have any sort of information regarding vehicles with fake number-plates in Punjab.
