ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan is going to set up Early Childhood Education (ECE) centers in existing primary schools in order to enhance education for young children in the upcoming ten days.
The Education Ministry said that the project aims to provide a foundation for lifelong learning, focus on important early years, and facilitate foundational skills of the students. The officials said that project will be aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-4 and SDG-5).

The initial stage includes establishing 100 ECE centers (50 rural, 50 urban), while classrooms will be renovated with appropriate materials and furniture. Similarly, trained Montessori teachers and staff would be provided to these centers.
This initiative will promote holistic development, including intellectual, physical, and emotional growth, and improves educational infrastructure in the country.
