ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has said that the federal government focuses on facilitating the business community.
The finance minister said this in a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA) headed by its Chairman, Asim Ghani Usman, at the Finance Division in Islamabad. Federal Minister for Industries and Production Syed Murtaza Mahmud and Minister for National Food Security and Research Tariq Bashir Cheema, SAPM on Finance Tariq Bajwa, Chairman FBR, Vice Chairman PSMA Iskander M Khan, Vice Chairman PSMA Ahmed Ebrahim Hasham and senior officers from Finance Division attended the meeting.
PSMA Chairman Asim Ghani Usman informed Ishaq Dar about the sugar industry’s contribution to the country’s economic development. Finance Minister assured Chairman PSMA that the federal government is well aware of the problems faced by the sugar industry and the sugar cane growers in Pakistan.
