KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has invited Iranian businessmen to invest their capital under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), a platform presented by the Chief of the Army Staff for the economic stability of the country, local media reported.
APP cited a spokesman of Governor Sindh as saying Kamran Khan Tessori expressed these remarks during an interaction with Iranian businessmen in Karachi. Governor Kamran Tessori stated that like investors from other nations, Iranian businessmen could also invest their capital under SIFC and get benefits from the initiative.
All difficulties in the trade and investment between Pakistan and Iran would be resolved, the Governor said, and hoped that there was a potential to take the trade volume of both nations to $ 50 billion.
Kamran Khan Tessori recalled the trip of former Iranian president late Ebrahim Raisi and said Iranian leader Ayatollah Khamenei also wants Pakistan-Iran trade to flourish. He further said that Iranian Consul General at Karachi Hassan Nourian is a gift of Iran to Pakistan as he was playing a part in bolstering trade and cultural ties between the two nations.
