BAHAWALPUR: Governor Punjab, Engineer Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, has emphasized the importance of addressing teachers’ legitimate demands while ensuring that their protests do not disrupt classes, thereby safeguarding the future of students.
Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman acknowledged that teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the future and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving their grievances. He encouraged teachers to actively engage in efforts to recruit more students to schools, contributing to the improvement of Pakistan’s literacy rate.
Responding to inquiries, Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman expressed optimism about Pakistan’s current trajectory, noting that the nation’s economy was on an upward trend. He cited recent reductions in petrol prices, the strengthening of the local currency, and stable gold rates as positive indicators of improved economic conditions.

Governor Punjab also disclosed plans for the construction of an international cricket stadium in Bahawalpur. He stressed the importance of promoting sports activities among the youth and ensuring they have access to suitable facilities.
Engr Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman emphasized the need for the youth to resist negative influences and cautioned against embracing anti-state propaganda. Furthermore, he urged political parties to instill a sense of respect and acceptance for opposing ideologies among their followers.
