LAHORE: Punjab’s Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman has extended heartfelt greetings to the Sikh community on the momentous occasion of the 554th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the esteemed founder of the Sikh religion.
In a message shared on Monday, he highlighted the profound teachings of Guru Nanak, emphasizing their universal significance in promoting humanity, peace, and harmony.
The Governor stressed the importance of fostering brotherhood and tolerance within society. He affirmed that minorities in Pakistan enjoy equal rights and freedom, aligning with the principles laid out in the constitution and the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Furthermore, Governor Rehman commended the Punjab government for its commendable efforts in organizing and facilitating Sikh pilgrims who have gathered to partake in the birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
