TAXILA: Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman said on Thursday that graduates are successfully playing their roles in transforming Pakistan into a technologically-progressive state and national development.
Addressing the twentieth Convocation of the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, the governor said fresh graduates are also rendering services in the leading organizations in the country and abroad.
He congratulated the students and their parents on successfully completing their degrees. He also congratulated the Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Inayat Ullah Khan for his efforts for bringing excellence academically as well in the stature of the university.
In the convocation ceremony, 1,680 students, including 36 PhD scholars received degrees while 48 position holders were also awarded.
Baligh Ur Rehman inaugurates hostels
Baligh Ur Rehman also used the opportunity to inaugurate two hostels to facilitate 200 foreign and 128 female students of the university.
