ISLAMABAD: The government has released funds worth of Rs296.10 million during the first quarter of the current fiscal year, to advance nine ongoing petroleum-related initiatives under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP 2022-23) against a total allocation of 1.48 billion rupees.
According to official data, out of the total disbursement of 296.10 million, nearly 11.44 million rupees have been spent on petroleum projects to accelerate gas and oil projects during the first quarter (from July to October 2022).

The government allocated 150.560 million rupees to establish National Mineral Data Centre (NMDC) Directorate General of Minerals, 303.700 million rupees for the upgradation and expansion of Pakistan Petroleum Corehouse (PETCORE) to facilitate gas and oil exploration research in the country, 100 million rupees for Geological Mapping on 50 Toposheets, 70 million rupees for Legal Consultancy Services for drafting of Model Mineral Agreement and updating of Regulatory Framework (Federal and Provincial Minerals/Coal Departments), out of 354 unmapped Toposheets of Outcrop Area of Balochistan Province and 200 million rupees for Pakistan National Research Programme on Geological Hazards (Earthquakes and Landslides).

Likewise, the government allocated 224.809 million rupees for upgradation of Karachi Laboratories Complex (KLC) at HDIP Operations Office Karachi, 100 million rupees to supply 10 MMCFD gas/RLNG at doorstep (zero point) of Bostan Special Economic Zone Balochistan, 74.705 million rupees to supply 13 MMCFD gas/RLNG at doorstep (zero point) of Bin Qasim Industrial Park Special Economic Zone, and 256.735 million rupees to supply 40 MMCFD gas/RLNG at doorstep (zero point) of Allama Iqbal Industrial City Special Economic Zone, Faisalabad (SNGPL). –APP
