Government Prioritizes Overseas Pakistanis’ Concerns: FM Jalil Jilani

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said on Monday that the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and the resolution of their issues stand as paramount priorities for the interim government.

The foreign minister said that the European Union (EU) was a crucial partner of Pakistan. He welcomed the continuation of the GSP Plus status for Pakistan, noting that these measures would further enhance bilateral economic ties with the EU.

During his visit to the Pakistan Embassy in Belgium, the caretaker foreign minister received a warm welcome from the Pakistan Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, Amna Baloch, along with other diplomatic staff members, a press release stated.

Jilani toured various sections of the embassy, including the consular section, expressing satisfaction with the facilities provided to the Pakistani community.

During the visit, he also shared his thoughts in the embassy’s visitors’ book.
