ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Sunday announced reducing the price of diesel by 5 rupees per liter while keeping the petrol rate unchanged for the next fortnight.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the new prices had been worked out to provide “maximum relief” to the public on the instructions of Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif.

He announced an Rs10 per liter reduction in the prices of Kerosene oil and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) each.
Petroleum prices
Following the notification issued by the Finance Division, petrol will be available at 282 rupees, High-Speed Diesel at 288 rupees, kerosene oil at 176.07 rupees, and light diesel oil at 164.68 rupees per liter.
