Google’s AI Chatbot “Bard” to Provide Urdu Language Support

ISLAMABAD: Google’s Artificial Intelligence chatbot, “Bard,” will now offer support for Urdu, among other languages. According to reports from an Indian news agency, Bard will support a total of nine languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, and Urdu. The chatbot currently supports a total of 40 languages.

In a statement, Google announced that users will be able to listen to precise pronunciations of words, sentences, and answers by entering a prompt and selecting the sound icon. Additionally, users can now customize the tone and style of Bard’s responses, choosing from five different options: simple, long, short, professional, or casual. This feature is currently available in English and will be expanded to new languages in the future.

Users Can Share Bard Conversations

The latest update also allows users to pin, rename, and access recent conversations in the sidebar, making it more convenient to refer back to past chats. Furthermore, Google has made it easier for users to share their Bard conversations with friends and groups.

Google is also integrating Google Lens capabilities into Bard, enabling users to upload images and receive assistance with additional information or writing captions. The feature is currently available in English (US) and will soon be expanded to more languages.

The introduction of Urdu language support in Google’s AI chatbot, Bard, reflects the company’s commitment to broadening its language offerings and improving accessibility for users across diverse linguistic backgrounds.
