ISLAMABAD: Google TV has introduced a new live TV experience that allows users to browse over 800 free TV channels across multiple providers, all organized in one easy-to-use guide on the Live tab.

The platform has integrated access to free channels from Tubi, Plex, and Haystack News, alongside the existing lineup of channels from Pluto TV.

In addition, Google TV is launching free built-in channels that users can watch without even downloading or launching an app.

The new TV guide brings together all new free TV channels and organizes them for easier and faster browsing.

Users can access premium programming and news channels from NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX, as well as channels from around the world, with programming in more than 10 languages, including Spanish, Hindi, and Japanese.

They can also save their “Favorites” to the top of the guide for quick and easy access next time.

If users have a premium live TV subscription from YouTube TV or Sling TV or access to over-the-air channels, they can use the Live tab to see those too.

Google TV devices

The new live TV experience will be available over the next few weeks on all Google TV devices in the US, including Chromecast with Google TV and TVs with Google TV built-in from Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Philips.

Google also plans to bring the new TV guide and free channels to eligible Android TV devices later this year.

The introduction of the new live TV experience and integrated access to free channels from multiple providers is part of Google’s efforts to make it easier for users to discover and watch content across various platforms.

With no subscriptions or fees, users can jump in and start watching their favourite content, from breaking news to blockbuster movies and everything in between.
