CALIFORNIA: Google is reportedly working on upgrading its search engine to provide a more visually appealing, personalized, and humanized experience, particularly targeting younger users worldwide, according to documents cited by the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.

The company aims to move away from the traditional format of presenting search results known as “10 blue links” and incorporate more human voices into its search service.

The shift is in response to the growing popularity of artificial intelligence (AI) applications like ChatGPT, which have demonstrated the potential to revolutionize various industries and societal norms.

Google is expected to unveil new features during its annual I/O developer conference next week, allowing users to engage in conversations with AI programs. The project, codenamed “Magi,” aims to enable interactive exchanges with the search engine, enhancing the user experience and providing more relevant and contextual information.

Generative AI has become a prominent buzzword this year, captivating the public’s interest and prompting companies to develop similar products that could potentially reshape the nature of work.

Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, has not yet responded to Reuters’ request for comment on these developments.

Advancements in Google’s search engine

The advancements in Google’s search engine, driven by AI technologies, could transform the way people interact with information and access search results. By incorporating chat-based interactions and video clips, Google aims to make the search experience more engaging, dynamic, and tailored to individual preferences.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, users can anticipate a more interactive and immersive search experience powered by AI, providing them with a deeper understanding of their queries and delivering information in a more intuitive and personalized manner.
